Job Description

My Client is a leading manufacturing business based in Morpeth.As a result of business demands, the company is looking to recruit a Purchasing and Materials Coordinator. The role will suit candidates with excellent customer service skills with an interest in developing a career in logistics.The role:Provides excellent customer service; able to explain process and products to our customers. Works in a confident manner to reduce any customer queries/complaints quickly. Promotes the Company culture internally and externallyNE616lsDuties

  1. First point of contact for customers; liaising primarily by telephone or email.
  2. Liaise with the customer account manager; liaising with Engineering on any technical queries.
  3. Compile customer quotations with the customer account manager.
  4. Enter orders onto the Oracle database.
  5. Process and send order acknowledgements to customers.
  6. Up-date and maintain EDI orders
  7. Attend the daily meeting with manufacturing and warehousing to establish the progress of customer orders on a daily basis and the discreet job report, in relation to the weekly plan.
  8. Match invoices to packing slips.
  9. Review orders on oracle and release discreet jobs required for orders.
  10. Check delivery report in relation to final assemblies. If there is any delay in delivery, liaise with the customer and the general manager on the reasons for the delay, and negotiate a new delivery date.
  11. Input indirect purchase orders into Oracle.
  12. Process the stationery orders.
  13. Any other reasonable duties, as required.
