An exciting opportunity has become available for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join Cygnet Brunel under the guidance of 2 Speech and Language Therapists.Cygnet Brunel is a 32 bed Neuropsychiatric service, split into 4 wards, offering neurorehabilitation for complex acquired brain injury individuals. The hospital is a modern facility which has been designed specifically to provide a clinically led evidence based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge. Our focus is to create a therapeutic rich environment which engages our service users and provides the opportunity to minimise their challenging behaviour and maximise their independence.Job RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team at Cygnet Brunel on a part time basis (24 hours per week). This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: you will be working directly with individuals or groups to deliver therapy programmes, under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), report on progress, provide support with resources for individuals and contribute to an aphasia friendly environment. You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cygnet SLT service, be eligible for training.We are looking for some with:
