Job Description

Brakes now have a fantastic new opportunity for a HR Assistantto support the leadership team in our Hemsworth Depot.This role is being offered on a permanent part time basis over 3 days per week to deliver proactive and flexible generalist HR support to the on-site Leadership Team.You can expect support and guide key stakeholders and managers to create an employee experience that establishes Brakes as a great place to work whilst delivering against the engagement and well-being agenda. This role will also offer a general HR presencefor daily escalations and straightforward ER Cases for approx. 300 colleagues across the site. Reporting directly into the HR Partner, this is a fantastic role for a current HR professional looking to take the next step in their career and gain valuable exposurein a global business.Key Accountabilities

  • Engagement Activities Support HR Partner and the site with creating and maintaining engagement activities calendar and provide support with engagement initiatives such as Employee Communication Forum and Communications Champions
  • Line Manager Development TrainingSupport the HR Partner in the facilitation and delivery of management development training.
  • Onboarding - Support line managers with the onboarding of new starters, probation and secondment reviews.
  • WellbeingSupport the site with wellbeing initiatives and activities
  • HR Admin Processes Support line managers to ensure all people processes (employee relations, star awards, site communication forums & welfare) are managed and actioned in accordance with relevant policy / process timescales.
  • Data Insight Requests - Collation and presentation of ad hoc HR data / insights. Update bonus scheme tracker.
  • Data control Maintain the highest level of data integrity by handling all colleague and company information with sensitivity and absolute confidentiality and ensure the adherence of GDPR regulations
With previous experience in a HR role, youll ideally be CIPD qualified level 3 (or willing to work towards this as we can offer a study support package) and have a sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR practises. Youll be comfortableworking in a fast-paced operational environment with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Displaying gravitas and credibility youll have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationshipswith key stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has the capability to work independently and able to use their own judgment to make the right decisions.
