At Turning Point, we support people with Learning Disabilities across England.As a Support Worker, you will make a real difference to residents lives as you improve their daily living skills. Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and trainingyou need to progress with us.Where will I be workingWe are providing support for adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.Service 1 & 2You will be supporting six individuals in their own homes. Three ladies all with varying needs. You will be required to provide person-centred support in all aspects of their lives, including managing their home, some personal care, accessing their localcommunity facilities, and maintaining contact with other important people in their lives. The service users are mainly are mainly non verbal and have significant cognitive impairments.For those applying for these services we require females only, who hold a UK driving license but you do not need to use your own vehicle as one will be provided.Service 3A small team of staff support three people with support in their own home. You will be required to provide person-centred support in all aspects of their lives, including managing their home, some personal care (including regular use of wheelchairs and mechanicalhoists), accessing their local community facilities, and maintaining contact with other important people in their lives. You will be supporting people will a mixture of verbal skills, a mixture of cognitive skills, limited mobility, and some associated healthconditions.A full UK driving license is essential for this service.We endeavour to create positive family relationships offering a good circle of support. There is a strong focus on supporting individuals lives, therefore the role will also include helping with various activities such as, shopping, managing own budgetsand cooking. We tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible.Training and DevelopmentWe offer training to all those who want to develop their skills and competencies not just in the care sector but in other areas too.
