We have a presence in over 60 countriesthrough a network of established distributors.We are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to assume responsibility for all warehouse operations and manage a workforce of 15 to 30 staff members depending on the volume of work.Our warehouse operates Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17.00 and Friday 08.00 to 14.30 with extended hours (some evenings and occasional weekends) at our peak times. Our facility is split across 2 buildings on a single site with a total of around 1,500 palletspaces and around 5,000 pick faces.As our Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Responsibility for all warehouse operations - container unloading, receiving and putting away, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch, stock adjustments and returns.
• Managing the warehouse workforce of between 15 to 30 members of staff.
• Identification, implementation and management of new flexible working practices
• Propose and deliver operational efficiencies to reduce costs
• Introduction of new technology, assisting with design and testing, with responsibility for training and deployment
• Ensure all Health & Safety processes are adhered to in the warehouse, and actively contribute to revisions as required.
• Good IT skills using ERP/WMS, Spreadsheets and Reporting
• Performance management where appropriate.
• Recruitment, induction and training - especially temporary / seasonal workers.
• Monitor timekeeping and authorisation of overtime and bonus payments
• Arrange resources (people, transport, etc) for projects e.g. Trade Shows and Product launches
• Ensure maintenance of equipment is undertaken to schedule e.g. Fork Lift Trucks, dock levellers.
• Work with the General Manager to identify and address any issues with the fabric of the building e.g. roof / wall / floor, perimeter fence, CCTV and alarm system
• Work with the Logistics team on container planning and stock, and other internal departments including Customer Services
• Manage third party relationships with suppliers
• Day to day liaison with parcel carriers for collections e.g. TNT, DPD

Required Skills and Experience:

• Flexible with "can-do" approach
• Excellent man-manager with high emotional quotient capability to motivate and listen to colleagues
• Good organisational skills, understanding priorities and how these can change over short periods of time and longer periods
• Good leadership skills
• Good communication skills
• Pro-active planner who is also capable of managing the day to day variables and reactive nature of operational life
• Introduce new ways of working whilst retaining all thats good about the way things are done today
• Good IT knowledge in warehouse IT, BI systems, spreadsheets

Preferable Skills and Experience:

• Valid license to drive 3.5t van and a variety of Fork Lift Trucks (Reach, Counter-balance)
• Health & Safety qualifications
• Creating and managing to agreed KPIs
• Budgeting
