Trainee Teaching assistantProtocol Education are working with a South Tyneside school to recruit a graduate trainee teaching assistant.As part of your role as a graduate teaching assistant , you will work with children with a range special educational needs, including ASC, SEMH and ADHD. You should be confident with de-escalation strategies and ideally be aware of strategies of how to handlechallenging behaviours. Ideally you will have experience of working with children in some capacity or with adults with SEND. This role may also be suitable for recent graduates considering a career in teaching.You will join a large SEND team supporting children aged 11-16 to access a mainstream curriculum. This role would be most suited to a graduate who is interested in career in teaching.This is an OFSTED graded good school located within easy reach of Jarrow, South Shields and Hebburn town centres.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK.
