The Company you will be working for;Our client is an established and successful company based in Hebburn. They are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.The Role you will be doing;
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and the Finance Manager (FM) in maintaining effective financial controls and systems.
  • Reviewing and maintaining operational processes and procedures.
  • Implementation of new systems and processes in line statutory requirements and group policy.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement approach across the full range of finance processes and capabilities.
  • Prepare the monthly management account information to trial balance level for areas of responsibility.
  • Production of high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS.
  • Participate in the annual statutory audit, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Promote a positive cash conversion cycle, including active working capital management, rolling cash-flow forecasts, trade debtor and creditor reporting, and reconciliation of the external borrowings and FOREX in line with IFRS.
  • Analyse capital and project expenditure and communicate this to project managers.
  • Management of Company credit card facility, including expenditure analysis
  • Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast setting process, including ensuring budgetary and financial information is regularly updated in the required system(s).
  • Collaborate with senior managers and heads of department to provide support and advice on a range of financial, non-financial and performance areas to facilitate increased profits through cost management and control.
  • Preparation of targeted financial and commercial analysis, along with KPI dashboard development.
  • Interact with Finance teams across the Group to ensure complete and accurate disclosures.
About you;
  • Qualified with ACCA or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience of Group Reporting and Consolidation Accounting.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, both strong current IFRS knowledge, including: IFRS16, IFRS10 & IAS16.
  • Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in a similar, reporting financial accountant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with all stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and costings, analysis and insight and investment appraisal and evaluation.
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent IT skills, being proficient with applications such as MS Office, design software and social media platforms.
  • Experience of working with a range of senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent time management skills, being a forward thinker with the capability to plan ahead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
