Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading agency that designs and delivers cutting edge digital solutions on their new venture. Our client consults with clients about their digital needs and source the right technology and professional services.You will be working across several sectors, including a range of large corporate international clients, through to SMEs.In this role, you will head up the business development looking to identify and develop new business opportunities. Your focus will be on building prospects within your sales pipeline with a consultative and solution led approach, building up trust withthem from cold leads to warm prospects.MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Generate new business opportunities through telephone prospecting to build your sales pipeline across vertical market sectors.
  • Follow up prospecting activity including emailing marketing material and relevant case studies.
  • Uncover prospects business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly targets of qualified opportunities.
  • Work closely with the wider sales team to develop targeted lists, call strategies and messaging to drive opportunities.
  • Research and build new prospect accounts, (i.e. adding contacts, sending regular emails, appointment making).
  • Effectively manage live opportunities in your pipeline.
  • Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using the CRM system.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of BDS products, industry trends and competition.
  • Manage and refine the sales development process to ensure continuous process improvements.
  • Work to set monthly revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Build up a database of suitable prospects and conduct suitable research of markets, clients, competing products and competitor organisations.
  • Work closely with in house marketing and technical teams to provide accurate information to your prospects.
  • Undertake additional duties or perform any reasonable management requests stated by your line Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Experience/KnowledgeWe operate in a new, emerging marketplace so previous experience in this sector is not essential. We offer full training. The following experience is however essential:
  • Confidence in telephone canvassing.
  • Previous new business sales with knowledge of B2B selling a distinct advantage.
  • A proven sales ability in product or service sales.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Good computer literacy skills and understanding of CRM.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Ability to listen to identify customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • A relationship builder with long term vision.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work with and without supervision.
  • Ability to use a range of software packages.
