Job Description

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Export person for well established niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.-Dealing with all aspects of daily Air Export Operations from point of enquiry to shipment delivery. This will include Customs Clearance and declarations to other Government bodies via a variety of I.T. systems, external communication with Clients and serviceproviders and Internal Communications with the Network.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with airlines for airline bookings and spot rates.
  • Raising MAWBs & HAWBs.
  • Completing Customs Entries (including NCTS entries).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Checking Flight Details.
  • Extensive communication with external service providers and government bodies.
  • Extensive use of a variety of internal and external IT systems.
  • Provide guidance to junior and support to senior staff.
Key Skills:
  • Strong experience working within air exports from beginning to end.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to follow procedures and instructions.
  • Previous experience with raising MAWBs & HAWBs.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of the export process.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Hands on experience with creating export documentation including HAWB, MAWB.
  • At least 4 years experience within air freight freight forwarding.
  • We must be able to complete a full 5 year background check, DBS and aviation security training.
