My client is a well-known freight forwarder in the Hayes area and operates within all agreed operational procedures in imports and exports, They have been establish for many years now and is looking for 2 experienced Ocean Customs Clerk: .* Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm* NO WEEKENDS!!!* Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum* Location - Hayes areaDuties will include:* Creation of SFDs or Full Customs Entry, which can be various types, home use, temp import, British returned goods.* Dealing with queries, Customs post actions. * Supporting the Freight operations team.* Using ASM or equivalent software for completion of clearance.* Responsible for customs declarations.* Co-ordinate the customs clearance between the customer and internal function.* Monitor the clearance status of shipments.* Dealing with Freight and Customs.* Completing entries and associate documents in a timely manner to ensure the smooth movement of consignments through the port environment. * Follow transport and customs regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.* Prepare correct documentation for all aspects of the transportation of goodsDesirable:If you have minimum 2 years experience within a Customs role in Freight Forwarding and have good experience of custom clearance database this role may be for you. legislative compliance is important to have, also pay good attention to detail. Have strong organisation skills and use to working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
