Job Description

Carbon60 are currently recruiting for an Electrical Preparator required in a permanent role based in Hayes at a global aviation company. The role involves working with highly skilled electricians, on the landing gear of aircraft, learning the skills to enhanceyour electrical career.Responsibilities and duties

  • Prepare the assembly process of cable harnesses and the build of wiring looms, to assemble and install them to the landing gear.
  • Inspect and repair faulty wiring looms.
  • Clean sub-assemblies and harnesses whilst also managing consumable items.
  • You will be required to keep a PREB (Practical Record Experience Book)
  • Cleaning electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies, as well as following manuals to specific wiring installations
  • Any tasks or duties undertaken should follow in compliance to company and EASA safety/environmental standards
Skills and QualificationsThe role is that of a trainee so the ideal candidate must fulfil the following requirements:
  • Educated to at least GCSE Level.
  • Good knowledge of SAP systems (Desirable)
  • Candidate to have completed apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a workshop environment and follow safety procedures, wearing correct PPE and safety materials at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English.
  • Candidate must have full working rights in the UK.
Candidates would be required to work double day shifts:
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday: 06:00-14:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday: 14:00-22:00
