Job Description

Job Description One of our Clients is looking for and Azure Data Engineer, As the Data Engineer, you must have had 6-7 of data warehouse experience with 2 years of Azure as well. Constantly developing technical skills and knowledge using the latest Azure technologies. You will also be comfortable with stakeholder engagement and take ownership of the delivery of key solution components.Data engineers must be able to implement data solutions that use the Azure Data Services including the Azure Data Factory (ADF).Experience

  • 6-7 yrs. as a Data Engineer or DBA in a data domain, 18+ months using the Azure Data Services. (Grade 9)
  • Track record of delivering data solutions to clients in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of business/customer engagement including business analysis and data discovery.
    • Skillset:
  • Expertise in Data engineering using Azure Data Services.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Interpreting high-level blueprints, reference architectures into the low-level design.
  • Defining data models and data entity documents.
  • Designing and building modern data pipelines and data streams using ADF.
  • Batch-processing data solutions.
  • Building, testing, and deployment of optimized data solutions for analytics and reporting (for example datamarts, views, perspectives, cubes).
  • Supporting the planning of data platform services including sizing, configuration, and needs assessment.
  • Solid skills in Azure ADF to build pipelines & configuring with GIT for CI/CD.
  • Optimization of Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
  • Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling and clear understanding about defining data architecture framework, standards, and principles.
  • Awareness of / Nice to have Developing data platforms using a wide range of the Azure Services including Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Blob storage, HDInsight, Machine Learning Studio.
  • Developing analytics and machine learning solutions using the Azure Databricks platform. Data Quality and Data Governance tools and methods.
  • Streaming data solutions.
  • DevOps/ DataOps methods in the development of data solutions.
    • Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering; Building, testing, and deployment of data solutions as part of an account-based delivery team or the wider data practice.
  • Leading or contributing to design; design of robust end-to-end, cloud-based data transformation, data migration, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Performing data analysis; connecting the dots from disparate information streams (e.g. extracts from the client system, management reports, and contracts) and turning them into structured data that can be analyzed.
  • Demonstrating how Azure Data Services can be exploited in the success of cloud migration and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Proving expertise and coaching to less experienced members of the Data Practice in Microsoft Azure Data Services.
  • Contributing to the methods, standards, and keeping abreast of the technical advances in data engineering for the Data Practice.
  • Documentation of solutions (e.g. data models, configurations, and setup).
