Job Description

Urgent Requirement for Azure Data EngineerSomeone with 2-3 yrs experience within the data field and proven record of accomplishment of developing and designing technical solutions using cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure to deliver analytics-driven assignments to clients in a professional services environment.As the Data Engineer, you must have had a recent experience with Azure as well as constantly developing technical skills and knowledge using the latest Azure technologies. You will also be comfortable with stakeholder engagement and take ownership for the delivery of key solution components.Azure data engineers will collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and meet the data requirements to implement data solutions that use Azure data services. Data engineers are responsible for data-related implementation tasks that include provisioning data storage services, ingesting streaming and batch data, transforming data, implementing security requirements, implementing data retention policies, identifying performance bottlenecks, and accessing external data sources.Data Engineer must be able to implement data solutions that use the following Azure services: Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly Azure SQL DW), Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob storage.Skillset:

  • Strong SQL Development experience
  • ETL/Data warehouse experience.
  • Solid data engineering and data architecture experience - working for established brands (or data mature environment)
  • Full MS Azure stack experience
  • Modern data architecture experience (data bricks, data lake, Azure Data Factory etc)
  • Ability to develop data models in Power BI
  • Develop batch-processing solutions by using Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
  • Ingest data into Azure Databricks.
  • Design and build modern data pipelines and data streams using Data Factory.
  • Design and build data service APIs.
  • Expose data to end-users using Power BI, Azure API Apps or other modern visualization platform or experience.
  • Analyze current business practices, processes and procedures and identify future opportunities for leveraging Microsoft Azure data & analytics PaaS services.
  • Support the planning and implementation of data platform services including sizing, configuration, and needs assessment.
    • Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering a Business Intelligence Platform based on Microsoft Azure Technologies
  • Demonstrable understanding of MS SQL Server modelling and indexing strategies in either an OLTP or OLAP environment.
  • Good understanding of the different Azure data services and their uses.
  • Designing robust end-to-end, cloud-based BI solutions to efficiently move data from client systems into the cloud and review the development of the solution.
  • Connecting the dots from disparate information streams (e.g. extracts from the client system, management reports, contracts) and turning them into structured data that can be analysed
  • Lead by example in your code practices, delivering high-quality code alongside clean & simple solutions
  • Creating reports and presentations and communicating our findings to clients and their stakeholders
  • Designing and providing up to date technical training across the Microsoft Azure BI.
  • Track record of delivering analytics solutions to clients in a professional services environment
  • Experience across the Microsoft Azure BI Stack, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data warehouse, Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience in optimizing Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization
  • Hands-on experience of Azure Blob storage, HDInsight, Machine Learning Studio , Azure Data Factory.
