The Bursary Administrator is arole within the Bursary team to provide high level administrative support to the Deputy Bursar, Facilities Manager, Compliance Project Manager and Bursary.The successful applicant should have considerable administrative expertise, excellent computer skills, especially in word processing, spreadsheets and scheduling.Excellent interpersonal qualities and a sense of humour.The ability to work under pressure with initiative is essential.Job ResponsibilitiesHigh level administrative supportResponding to email and telephone queries quickly and appropriatelyDrafting lettersProof reading as requiredDiary management and schedulingOrganise and facilitate routine visits to ensure compliance with regulations and best practiceCoordinate the risk assessments review process, liaising with relevant staffPurchasing and order managementAttending meetings and drafting minutes as requiredMaintaining a structured and accurate electronic and paper filing systemReviewing and updating policies and liaising with relevant staffCoordinating School vehicle hire and key issueManaging, scheduling and maintaining an accurate record of maintenance and repair of School vehiclesSupport the Bursary office in answering telephones, mail, photocopying, filing and other general administrative duties as requiredCandidate skills and experience required:Previous high-level administration experience in a busy office environmentThe ability to work on their own initiativeExcellent IT skills across the MS Office SuiteExcellent written and oral EnglishMeticulous attention to detail, particularly regarding letter drafting and proof-readingDemonstrated ability to work as part of a teamA smart appearance, professional and polite demeanour and excellent communication skillsAn excellent telephone manner and ability to deal confidently with enquiriesThe ability to alter communication style and tone to various situationsThe ability to prioritise and complete work independentlyAwareness of the importance of data security and confidentialityThis role is full time permanent position, (not term time) and for a January start.DBS and reference checks are required for the role.8am-4pm.
