The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting for an Toolmaker / Toolroom Technician for their client based in Haverhill, Suffolk.The role is to support the Toolroom Supervisor in the manufacturing and maintenance of production mould tooling, Press tooling, jigs / fixtures and support R&D department with the manufacture of prototypes as required.Core accountabilities* To maintain mould tools on a daily basis within the toolroom environment.* To maintain power press tools as and when required.* To manufacture new mould / press tooling as required.* To work with toolroom supervisor on production of R&D prototypes as required.* To manufacture / maintain production jigs and fixtures as required.* To update the mould tooling maintenance log.* To liaise with the Production Engineering Manager, other departments when tooling work is required.* To order and maintain a working supply of workshop consumable items, e.g.: bolts, ejector pins etc. when supervisor on holiday or absent.Knowledge, skills, and experience requiredQualifications:* Engineering Qualification / min 5 years engineering workshop experience. * CNC / manual milling Machine experience. Preferred but not essential* Training on Wire eroder including programming* Training on Spark eroder including programming. * Surface grinding / Abrasive wheels safety certificate. Experience:* Experience of all work shop machines Inc. CNC milling, Wire eroder, Spark eroder Surface Grinder, Lathe (* Experience in Workshop Practices and Health & safety in the workshop environment* Experience of mould tooling.
