Job Description

Test Technician is required for our well-established manufacturing company based at Haverhill in the Research and Development laboratory testing products focused on inspection, testing, report writing and forming a data base for existing and new reports.As Test Technician you will assist with the external testing of products including the preparation of products for despatch to external test facilities for Acoustic, Performance, Safety and EMC testing. Although predominately based in Haverhill as Test Technicianyou may be required to carry out onsite visits to external test facilities in the UK and abroad. All testing is carried out to in-house procedures to ensure that their products meet the design specifications and relevant National and International Standardsfor ventilation products.The Role

  • Create written procedures for existing test methods
  • Witness external testing as a company representative reporting back core information
  • Creating new testing methods for new products and implement
  • Implement new testing database which includes test results and historical information ensuring they are kept up to date
  • Conducting product testing for internal validation purposes prior to release and adding to the new database
  • Perform testing with clients whilst maintaining a professional manner
  • Have the ability to identify relevant UK testing standards and apply applicable elements to internal test procedures for product
  • Required for product development, testing, sales samples and identification of product faults
  • Monday - Thursday 7:45 - 4:30 and Friday 8am to 12:30pm
The Person
  • Must possess an engineering qualification and / or relevant Engineering experience
  • Strong IT skills and competent using Microsoft Excel to analyse data and produce graphs
  • Gained experience within a manufacturing
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast paced changing requirements
  • Have good attention to detail and focus
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and to see the task through to completion
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Willingness to travel on occasions inside and outside of the UK
  • The desire and ability to learn new skills including the variety of controls systems for product and test equipment control
