Job Description

About the Opportunity Have a lead role in ensuring Engineering departmental safety & quality targets are successfully met. Develop a 3 year look ahead plan and oversee in-house and 3rd party arrangements to ensure engineering compliance is delivered and highlight areas of non-conformity. Works closely with Utilities team to ensure inspections and remediations are completed collaboratively. Forms long term relationships with departments across the site and corporate functions relating to the role, in particular with Engineering, HSE, Maintenance and Production.About Sanofi Business UnitEnsures that all Plant & Equipment across the Haverhill site meets the relevant legislative and Sanofi EHS policy requirements. Determines compliance by establishing compliance test standards, conducting and witnessing tests, performing diagnostic procedures, analysing and troubleshooting failures.Key responsibilities

  • Develop compliance plans by researching, analysing, selecting and applying Sanofi compliance engineering concepts and techniques.
  • Organise compliance program by preparing timetables, cost estimates and required resources and equipment.
  • Support inspections and remedial work on all plant and equipment including, but not exclusively, on the following: asbestos, pressure systems, lifting equipment, legionella, gas, LEV, platforms and fire protection, primary containment, PUWER assessments, HV & LV Electrical maintenance programs and to make sure they meet legislative requirements.
  • Attain compliance by isolating and resolving non-compliance issues; recommending product and process changes through both OPEX and CAPEX activities.
  • Document compliance by recording test results; preparing corrective action trackers; recording action completion evidence and maintaining compliance database.
  • Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging compliance engineering practices and standards by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Oversee contractor quality to include handover witnessing, asset assurance and integration and incident investigation.
  • About YouTo excel in this role you will need to have:Essential requirements:
  • An engineering-based qualification to HND/HNC level or equivalent appropriate experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Good knowledge of current legislation, statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Experience in control of contractors, and familiar with preparation controls i.e. PTW, RAM?s etc.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Relevant experience in Pharma, Petro / Chem, Food, Drink or similar high risk, highly regulated.
  • It would be advantageous to have (not essential):
  • Experience working with CMMS systems.
