Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer or Technician to join our Maintenance team in Haverhill, UK. You will conduct Electrical & Instrument (E&I) maintenance activities across the plant and site to ensure we can develop, manufacture and produceactive pharmaceutical ingredients for our customers.Your ResponsibilitiesYou will:

  • Complete Electrical & Instrument maintenance activities to ensure production demands are met through the implementation of maintenance strategies on both process equipment and site facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice, safety, quality and validation protocols at all times.
  • Use predictive techniques to minimise maintenance costs and equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and facilities failures and remediate identified issues.
  • Provide core electrical support on plant and site utility systems (Motors & Drives, L.V control, distribution systems, electrical statutory testing & depending on specialism: instrumentation, PLCs, HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Distribution).
  • Ensure adherence to daily safe-systems-of-work such as permit-to-work, safe-plan-of-action & LOTO.
  • Support the development of knowledge across the team and promote new ways to work.

It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient(API) Spray Drying and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO). Haverhill is proud to house the worlds largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and raredisease medicines supporting global markets. The site is also developing a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.Our RequirementsApprenticeship trained level 3 and above qualifications - City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or ONC.Experienced gained in a commercial setting,experience working with motors, control systems, general site electrical systems, general to advanced fault finding.Excellent written and spoken English skills - you will be working with external and internal stakeholders and working in a regulated industry.A team focused mindset supporting the broader maintenance team and organisational goals.Hazardous area training and experience would be preferred.Your Benefits
