Job Description

Bernhards turf care solutions are currently used at prestigious sporting venues aroundthe World.Following a restructure in the company, we have a fantastic opportunity for a experienced Financial controller to help us on our growth path.Working as part of our existing financial team, the Senior Financial Controller will lead the team to produce financial accounting and management accounting information.This exciting position would appeal to a finance specialist that is currently looking for a new challenge.Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of staff responsible to produce financial accounting and management accounting information.
  • Preparing, developing and analysing management accounting information.
  • Provide high quality support service to the Board and other stakeholders e.g. Bank, Auditors & the pension scheme trustees.
  • Compliance with the statutory fiscal reporting requirements.
  • Managing international trades, Letter of Credits and associated contracts.
  • Identifying financial risk to the business and developing appropriate plans and systems to mitigate the risk.
  • Forecasting foreign exchange risk and maintaining an appropriate hedging position or alternative measures to mitigate the risk to the business.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of the Bernhards overall business strategy.
  • Effective management of cash flow & working capital in a seasonal business.
  • Develop and implement Finance, People & Systems strategies to support the overall business, to ensure financial, people and technical resources are being used effectively
  • Annual budgeting, financial statements and tax
  • Short, medium and long term financial planning and forecasting
  • Ensure all financial and compliance processes are understood and followed, mitigating risks as required.
  • Oversee all HR processes.

Key Requirements
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience in a senior role
  • SME , ideally complex manufacturing background.
  • Experience in International Trade and Letter of Credits is desirable
