Job Description

We own and manage c.7,000 homes in the East of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities.Its a really exciting time to join us. These build on the good foundations we have in place in beinga customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.Weve also concluded a review of how we work in the future, with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.We are looking for a Multi Skilled Technician Bricker layer to join the Technician team here at Havebury Housing to undertake bricklaying, roofing, groundworks, plastering and associated tasks on mainly domestic properties located throughout East Angliato a high standardWe have around 7000 homes to maintain, and we are a growing business committed to developing our staff and offering further opportunities to progress.Great customer service is at the heart of what we do, so excellent customer skills and being able to work safely, flexibly and effectively as part of a team is essential.RequirementsKey Responsibilities

  • Undertake bricklaying, roofing, groundworks and plastering works. Works to be completed in line with all relevant C&G qualifications, British Standards, and any other applicable industry best practices.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and rectify effectively. Repairs carried out on first visit wherever possible.
  • Where additional works are required, the ability to provide clear information as to work, duration and materials required.
  • Comply with statutory and company health and safety regulations and policy
  • Identify any rechargeable repairs and inform the customer and relevant line manager where necessary
  • Complete works right first time where possible
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate van stock levels
  • Undertake basic works of other trades relative to work undertaken or, as directed by line manager
About you
  • You will have a relevant trade qualification, such as a C&G 6705 level 3 or extensive "time served" portfolio of work and references.
  • Good IT skills, all works issued through Software and Certification to be completed (Training on the software will be provided).
  • You will be able to demonstrate high Customer Care standards throughout your day-to-day work
  • Ability to be flexible in your working hours to support business needs if required
  • Have a full UK driving license
The role
  • Core working hours are 37 hours. Monday-Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. Work times will be dependent upon tenant appointments or emergencies
  • On-call extra rota shifts available with extra payment (depending on work undertaken) can be up to 15% of your annual salary.

  • Annual Leave - 28 days per year, (plus bank holidays) increasing to 32 days when you reach your 3rd year with us. To give greater flexibility around your holidays you can also buy, sell or carry over up to 5 days of annual leave each year
  • Pension - between 5% - 10% dependant on individual contribution
