Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a NDT/Welding Inspector (Minimum MT with PCN and CSWIP Visual certification) to join our busy steel works inspection dept.This exciting new role will be based in Doncaster but could involve some off site travel to external customers around the UK.The Job Role

  • Inspection visits to suppliers
  • Ensure the test plan is adhered to and followed
  • Dimensional Inspection/Verification
  • Carry out NDE as require
  • From start to to final inspection reporting
  • Visual examination of Fabrications and Steel surfaces
  • Identify & record nonconforming products and oversee resolution as required
  • General inspection documentation as necessary
  • Assist with customer visits
    • Essential Requirements
  • Ability to use measuring equipment- tape measures etc
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings, specifications etc
  • Ability to use Microsoft OFFICE
  • Plan own workload
  • Have a PCN/CWSIP Visual qualification or equivalent
  • Have a PCN/CWSIP MT qualification or equivalent
  • Familiar with ISO 9001
  • Experience with QC of structural fabrications during all aspects of production
  • Good understanding of Maths
  • Good communicator
  • UK Driving License
    • Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with paint structures
  • ICORR or equivalent qualification
