Job Description

Established in 1974, this UK’s leading on-site heat treatment company are looking to recruit a Works Manager for their Hartlepool facility.WORKS MANAGERHartlepool25 days holidayMonday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00hrs£40,000 - £48,000The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Hartlepool, working primary day to day duties of this role will include but not be limited to:Responsibilities Include:

  • Full responsibility for the In-House heat treatment function including all equipment on site
  • Management and development of the site’s employees, including training and performance management
  • Monitor, maintain and achieve KPIs and targets
  • Ensure QHSE compliance in line with company policies and procedures
  • Carry out daily internal sales activities including customer liaison, job pricing, raising quotes and responding to tenders
  • Securing new business opportunities
  • Occasional customer site visits
  • Collating the weekly hours and forwarding this information to payroll to enable the weekly wages to be processed
    • Key Skills
  • Proven experience in management
  • Strong personality, good people skills and not afraid to challenge others
  • Metallurgical or heat treatment background
  • IOSH or NEBOSH training preferred
