THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Shop Floor Supervisor to work with our client based in Hartlepool. The company in question are a furniture & kitchen manufacturer who are looking to add to their team due to a growing order book. The company prides itselfon being an investor in people and are looking to bring in an ambitious individual who is looking to progress and take charge of a 20 strong team. If you have relevant experience and are looking to progress this is the role for you.THE ROLESupervising a team of up to 20 staffLiaising between upper management and the shop floorDealing with holidays, discipline and work allocationMonitoring production and implementing any changes to make the environment a more productive place to beHands on approach to supervisingTHE PERSONAlongside the role of Supervisor you will be experienced and expected to carry out Bench Joinery duties as below;2+ years within a Bench Joinery role2+ years Carpentry experience2+ years Joinery experienceExperience of working in a joinery and/or cabinetry workshop.Able to work from and interpret CAD drawings/designs.Interpret cutting lists.Capable of using a range of woodworking machinery and tools.Use your own initiative, work independently and as a team.Maintain quality control awareness.Able to understand drawings.Ensure smooth delivery of the projects on time.TO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Neil Douthwaite who is leading the search.
