Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager - Construction SuppliesLocation: Hartlepool, County DurhamSalary: £30,000 - £40,000 (more dependent upon experience), plus performance related bonusesContract: PermanentWorking hours: Monday - FridayWe are looking for an experienced Sales Manager from within the construction supply sector for our client, a leading, national distributor of civils and drainage solutions.As Sales Manager you will lead the sales strategy within their branch in Hartlepool, ensuring the growth of sales, margin, and profitability. You will also work closely with other branches to maximise the strength of the business as a whole.Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales strategy to achieve financial targets and KPIs
  • Manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Have a strong understanding of pricing, rebate terms, and the construction supply sector
  • Have knowledge of project tracking and construction build process
  • Produce high-quality and accurate reports in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Manage and motivate yourself as well as part of a team
  • Drive the sales of the companys range of construction products to contractors
  • Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships
Key Requirements:
  • Proven business development experience within the industry (essential)
  • Successful sales management experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the role of an effective sales function and best practices within a busy branch
  • Strong business, commercial and financial acumen - supported by a pragmatic approach and not afraid to get into the detail when required
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to articulate the corporate vision and translate this into effective strategic and operational plans, gaining clear agreement from stakeholders by influencing, convincing, persuading and negotiating
  • Strong IT skills, especially with Excel spreadsheet
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent Presentation Skills - both formal and informal
  • Ability to use own initiative as well as perform as part of a team
  • Full valid drivers licence
