Also, the company offer a market-leading benefits package and annual bonus.Type: PermanentImperial Professionals are currently recruiting exclusively for a high-profile global client who are looking to appoint an Operations Manager for their Hartlepool site.The position reports to the Head of Operations and is responsible for the daily and weekly operation of the White-End facility. They ensure that production is delivered as per supply chain needs, to the quality specification required. They are responsiblefor ensuring the day-to-day safe operation of the White End facility, providing operational leadership to the White-End manufacturing teamResponsibilities:

• Day-to-day leadership and accountability of the White-End production teams.:
• Provide direction and operational instructions for the White End shift teams including implementation of a communications strategy for the teams.
• Ownership of recruitment, retention, training and development of White-End operator technicians including succession planning.
• Ownership of the White-End operating manual, procedures and instructions, and the White End EHS manual.
• Accountability for S&OP coordination, raw materials and logistics planning.
• Custodian of EHS incidents, investigation & peer-review standards. Ensuring consistency and driving improvements identified from incidents.
• Owns the Operational aspects of the Greatham Capacity Improvement Programme (GCIP) for White End.
• Ownership of the White-End operational team budget, including operations support contracts.
• Manages a programme of continuous improvements across the White End operations area, working with the Maintenance team and Asset Engineering Manager, to prioritise activities.
• Primary focal point for centralised support functions including Central engineering, Capital & Projects, for initial engagement on feasibility studies.
• Manages the White End elements of the site Process Safety triangle and owns the Process Safety Improvement programme.
• Lead, performance manage, motivate, and develop team members.
• Lead and influence a positive values-based culture that drives high performance.

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience of operational leadership on Upper Tier COMAH assets.
• A formal qualification in Chemistry, Engineering or Manufacturing would be beneficial.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing and an ability to gain deep understanding of process technology.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to engage, lead others and communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills to include prioritisation, scheduling and optimising of workforce skills and resources.
• Ability to manage and work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
• A concern for high standards and compliance.
