Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all support calls are handled effectively.
  • Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose, and solve hardware/software Incidents & Problems.
  • Trend Analysis and Problem management.
  • Following and championing the departments ITIL processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Systems monitoring.
  • React to alerts from monitoring systems.
  • Ensure that all systems are patched and operating optimally.
  • Administer backups and restores.
  • Owning complex technical incidents & problems through to resolution to ensure minimal customer impact.
  • Organise the appropriate resource to deliver solutions in the fastest time possible.
  • Liaise effectively with 3rd party vendors and partners.
  • Produce reporting information to a high quality and to a deadline.
  • Keep up to date with advancements in technology
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
  • Windows 10/11
  • Hardware: PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones
  • Microsoft Office 2016 and above
  • Printers
Desirable Experience or exposure to the below would be deemed desirable/advantageous:
  • ITIL
  • WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or ERP/MRP (Enterprise Resource Planning / Material Requirements Planning) systems experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Telephony: SIP/ISDN30, NEC Univerge, call recording, mobile telephony
  • Microsoft Teams
  • VMware ESXi & vSphere 6.7
  • Server hardware architectures and systems
  • Windows Server Admin from 2008R2 and above
  • Backup solutions
  • Storage architectures and systems: DAS, NAS, SAN, vSAN
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Email: Exchange 2013 and above
  • Database: Microsoft SQL 2012 and above
  • Networking Technologies: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless, LAN/WAN
