Job Description

A successful , growing and expanding business in the engineering / construction sector in the North East is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Manager.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support the Leadership Team in the design and delivery of the HR Strategy.Key responsibilities for the successful HR Manager will include:

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and practices which harness employee talent, promote engagement and drive business performance.
  • Deliver structured coaching for people managers with a view to developing their competence and skill to manage HR matters independently.
  • Lead on complex employee relations issues, liasing with specialist employment law support as required.
  • Support organisational design and restructure activities, providing support on HR and employment law elements.
  • Create and maintain a suite of HR and people metrics for use by the Leadership Team in planning and decision-making.
  • Lead on creating and maintaining an engaging workplace culture, working with colleagues and the wider team to inspire and drive positive change.
It is expected that the person appointed will be CIPD qualified and / or has a proven track record of HR leadership and project management in a SME environment (reporting directly to a managing Director or senior equivalent).
