Job Title: Senior SurveyorLocation: Harrow, HA1 2XYEmployer: Pertemps Recruitment for Harrow CouncilContract Type: Temp / Full timeA fantastic opportunity within Harrow Councils Housing Department for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join us as a Senior Surveyor. We are seeking self-driven and motivated individual to join us as a Senior Surveyor to work on a full time contract. In return we pay a competitive rate of £30-33 per hour dependent on experience, other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).Duties include:"Ensure legal/complains/HO/MP/Cllrs enquiries are responded to within target times and responses meet quality standard"Ensure expenditure are aligned to available budgets and represents VFM"Implement critical procedures to support service delivery and officer/contractor training and development and to minimise unnecessary expenditure/budgetary pressures by agreed target times"Support R&M manager on essential key projects within Asset Management focusing in on IT new database system/legal/structural/rechargeable/service charges"Arrange guidance training for Access Harrow call centre staff on critical work procedures and work with Access Management to improve on repairs call centre repairs reporting.The successful applicant must have the following:"Minimum qualification at HNC/HND level or higher in building surveying or demonstrable experience in repairs and maintenance"Detailed knowledge of the issues involved in providing technical client advice for responsive maintenance"Detailed knowledge of building legislation, health and safety regulations, the causes of damp and condensation and the green agenda"Knowledge of managing repairs contracts in a customer focussed environment"Detailed knowledge of good practice in delivering value for money frontline repairs and maintenance contracts that support the local economy"Experience in writing repairs specifications in accordance with bespoke SORs or NHF SORs and in repairs administration in housing maintenance in the public and/ or private sectors."Direct experience in implementing innovative working practises to demonstrate efficiency gains and value for money"Direct experience of managing repairs contractors and ensuring VFM/Quality/Service Delivery in line with contract arrangements and maximising performance with effective partnership working in public and/or private sectors."
