Job Description

DescriptionWayman Group is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to join our team at an amazing school in Harrow. This is a full-time position with a January start. The selected candidate will have the chance to work in a vibrant and supportiveenvironment, where innovation and excellence in teaching are highly valued.Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality and engaging Science lessons to students across different key stages
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and student participation
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to promote academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and assessments
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including mentorship and pastoral care
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of Science programs and initiatives
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Prior experience teaching Science, preferably in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Science, with the ability to effectively teach different scientific disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest teaching methodologies and advancements in Science education
