Job Description

Our client, a leading international bank, is looking for a Head Manager in their Retail Credit Administration department for their Harrow office.Job Role:Responsible for overall functioning of the Credit Admin department. This would be a Certified Role under SMCR regime.Job Responsibility:

  • Overall manage the Credit Admin team having 2-3 members. The person would need to ensure delegation of the activities to achieve the objective and also personally execute the activities of Credit Admin team as provided below.
  • Understand existing processes and ensure adequate documented processes are in place for efficient execution while ensuring Banks interests are protected.
  • Administration of all transactions related to Syndication, Bilateral and retail accounts on day to day basis.
  • Independent check of all pre disbursement formalities for all loans. Once the process of documentation is complete to arrange for loading of limits and disbursement of facilities, followed by diarising the repayment/instalment/interest of all syndicated, Bilateral and retail Loans along with the respective covenants
  • Verifying and authorising entries in Finacle. Ensuring veracity of the information input into Finacle.
  • Monitoring of Interest, Instalments, processing Fee, and Legal Charges. Application of Interest in the loan accounts.
  • The issuance/amendment/Checking & signing of Bank Guarantees.
  • Preparation of regular MIS and weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual returns & its timely submission to appropriate authority.
  • Manage communication with clients through email, telephone and letters as required.
  • Liasing with other departments viz. Operations, Accounts, Treasury, TSD, Trade, Mid -Office etc.
  • Maintenance of master list pertaining to all accounts in the Credit department.
  • Other activities include: Authorising payments for credit customers, ensuring proper reporting of cash flows to TSD on a daily basis, assisting other departments in reconciliation of nostro and other office accounts.
  • Track the Review /renewal diary of retail credit and corporate credit loans.
  • Ensure receipt of various fees due to Bank, e.g. guarantee commission, processing fee. Also responsible for payment of commission/ refunds on Retail Credit cases
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues that may crop up from time to time.
  • Ensuring accuracy and periodicity of reports and returns relating to the department.
  • Documenting minutes of the Credit Committee
  • Competencies:
  • Sound knowledge of loans & advances and bank guarantees.
  • Strong operational strength and ability to create/document/ monitor processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Finacle operations and MS Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg / Reuters.
  • Reporting Relationship:Reports to Chief Credit Officer. Required skills
