My client is seeking an experienced IDVA Officer. The Officer will be working within the Harrow area and will have to complete the following:* The IDVA will manage high profile / intensive case work.* To ensure that SafeLives DASH Risk assessment, Individual Safety & Support Plan, Severity of Abuse Grid are in place and reviewed 6 weekly to support the client.* Domestic violence, legal advice, housing needs, tenancy support, support of children, access to learning or employment dependent on the individuals aspirations and needs.* Ensure that identified support targets have been met in conjunction with other agencies delivering care and support services to clients.* To ensure that support planning is outcome focused and that clients inform the type and level of support that they receive.* To ensure as far as possible that a seamless service is being delivered by working closely with other support providers to have a joined up approach to addressing support needs. This will include joint working with GPs, health visitors, schools, counselling services, housing, the Police and any other agencies likely to be delivering support services to the service user. To attend meetings or forums addressing the needs of women, men and children who are experiencing domestic violence. With a particular focus on MARAC Team (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) meetings* To achieve agreed standards of service delivery in compliance with relevant legislation, contract requirements, and Hestia policies.* To screen non-crime referrals on a daily basis.* To provide practical and emotional support to women and men applying the principles of effective casework when supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence at the highest risk and their children and to advocate for survivors to ensure their needs are met.* To establish the risks to and the needs of survivors of domestic and sexual violence, identifying and prioritising those at the highest risk.* To oversee the development and delivery of individual support and risk management plans to address the risk of harm to survivors of domestic violence and their children, working directly with all key agency partners to ensure that their plans are coordinated through the MARAC.* Ensure the Safe Lives DASH risk assessment tool (for all referrals, including self-referrals) that require first contact are completed within 24 hours of referral and that the risk assessment is reviewed 6 weekly or sooner if there is any further incident.* To work with the Senior IDVA Service and Team Manager in achieving the Safe lives Leading Lights or Womens Aid accreditation standards within the service.* To keep clear, accessible records in line with Hestias Confidentiality and Data Protection procedure. To ensure records of contacts with service users clearly demonstrate the nature of contact, aims and objectives.If you have previous experience in these areas and keen to develop your knowledge further this is a perfect team for you.
