Job Type: PermanentEmployer : EVEREST SUPERMARKET LIMITEDLocation: HARROWSalary: £25 - £26K per yearExperience:Butchering: 3 years (preferred)Using your butchery experience you will continue to develop fresh poultry and meat sales through maintaining high standards and by actively developing trade with new and existing customers.You will demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to join our busy butchery team. You will already have great butchery skills. You will need to be flexible, hardworking and enjoy working as part of a team.Responsibilities will include:Experience in the cutting and preparation of fresh meatUsing your butchery skills to prepare meat to customer requirements - Beef, Lamb, PoultryPreparing and packing customer orders according to their specificationsEnsuring that all meat supplied is of the highest quality and meets customers expectations and H&S requirementsBoning and trimming meat for display, wholesale and catering orders. Ensuring branch meat displays are of a high standard including layout, fill levels and cleanlinessMaintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.Provide excellent customer service and proactively seek and respond to requests for additional lines and cuts of meatBuild and develop excellent customer relationships to encourage regular spendExperience required:Must have previously worked as a butcher.Aware of Food hygiene standards & principals and able to work to them.Ensuring hygiene standards are adhered to at all timesAble to prepare cuts according to customers requirements.Confident knife skills and with the use of butchers machinery (Band-saw, Mince Machine)Knowledge of traditional Asian cuts is preferred but not essentialMinimising any unnecessary waste and making the most out of each cut of meatManaging the meat and poultry wasteBilingual in either Urdu / Punjabi would be an advantageMust be able to work as part of a team.We are looking for individuals who have a genuine passion for butchery, take pride in quality and in delivering excellent service.CLOSING DATE: 30/11/2022
