Job Description

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Managing goods receiving, warehousing operations & distribution activities - coordinating material planning function to deliver performance objectives in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Identifying and preparing site maintenance requests for senior operations management approval.
  • Manage warehouse active space utilisation - Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation and report space saturation via a weekly KPI report.
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of all business processing and operational SOPS, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements and maintain and instil best practice in warehouse operations with Warehouse teams.
  • Take on site Lead responsibility for all Health, Safety and Environmental reporting and escalation to Senior management team.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Support the onsite functions to correctly Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies. This requires measuring and monitoring KPI’s relating to Failed delivery rate, Minimising transport cost.
  • Plan work rotas assign tasks appropriately and appraise results working closely with Planning team to optimise labour Utilisation effectively and within budget.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc) in line with business KPI’s .
  • Coordinate reporting of Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports as appropriate driving functional personnel to provide information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Continuously improve the reporting accuracy and standard operating procedures with the general warehouse operations team.
    • Desirable:
  • Previous experience in working with ERP or CRM systems i.e. SAP, JDE, Dynamics
  • Previous/Current Warehouse or Ops Management experience
  • Technical engineering experience (ideally mechanical)
  • Knowledge of Asset Management, 3PL/4PL
  • Industry experience within Engineering, Manufacturing within Parts/Supply to Installation
  • Experience within HVAC, Refrigeration or Dispense equipment
  • Understanding of Supply Chain including high SKU’s or parts
