Job Description

BS Social Care are recruiting for a Support Worker Team Leader on behalf of their Housing Support client based in Harrogate. The role:This is a permanent position with 2 roles combined -YPP - Young Persons Pathway - support for 16-25 year old who are homeless or at risk of homelessnessRACS - Resettlements & Community Safety - Providing housing related support for high & medium level risk offendersYou would be managing and supporting the operational team (under the direction of the Service Manager) with all aspects of day to day management service - ensuring the team are working effectively with clients and alongside partner agencies.Requirements for the role:
  • Successful track record of leading & motivating teas
  • Experience in housing, homelessness and or metal health
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding reponsililities for vulnerable young people, adults and offenders
  • Good technical literacy - Microsoft Applications eg Word, Excell, Power Point, Outlook and Access
Duties to include but not limited to :
  • Ensuring all safeguarding issues are addressed and reported
  • provide monthly support and supervision to direct reports and develop individual training
  • Review and feedback all risk assessments and support plans
  • Review referrals and accept & decline clients against specified criteria
  • Organise and participate in working parties, action learning sets, relevant training sessions, management meetings and events

This is a Permanent role working between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday- Friday in a 34 hour week.Hours would be split between roles - YPP 16 hours.
