Job Description

THE COMPANY:This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading, high growth, profitable Harrogate based business, in a brand new role. The company has just over 12 years experience in their field, and just gone through some further significant expansion. As a result of this, they are now recruiting for a qualified, commercially focused Senior Management Accountant to help oversee the finance team, and report to the Finance Manager.The company is based close to the train station, and they have free on site parking - so they are therefore easily accessible from Leeds, Knaresborough and York.THE JOB:The role is a qualified Senior Management Accountant, who will report directly to the Finance Manager in a number two role. The role will take responsibility for directly assisting the Finance Manager with the full management accounts preparation, overseeing the team, and most importantly, business partnering with internal stakeholders and managing and developing external client relationships.The key duties of this role will include:

  • To ensure the monthly management accounts are prepared to 1st draft review and submitted within agreed timescales.
  • Oversee and manage a team
  • To support in the production of the annual budgets.
  • Production and development of accounting packs
  • Responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations
  • Primary contact for internal accounting queries
  • Ensuring an efficient and accurate process between Transactional Accounts Team and Management Accounts Team
  • Developing key external stakeholder relationships, and implement and manage internal communication processes
  • To support on the Annual external audit.
  • THE PERSON:The successful candidate will:
  • Be ACCA/CIMA qualified - Essential
  • Have previous experience of full management accounts preparation - Essential
  • Have business partnering experience, and the ability to engage with both finance and non finance stakeholders - Essential
  • Have previous experience of leading teams - Desirable
