My client are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to support, plan, design, develop and implement highly complex specialist Business Intelligence solutions to meet the needs of the organisation.Client DetailsA not for profit organisationDescription

• Design, develop and implement highly complex specialist information systems to meet the needs of the organisation
• Analyse, investigate and resolve data warehouse issues, providing appropriate solutions and ensuring data remains available and accessible. In the event of system failure to return the warehouse to an operational state
• Plan, develop & deploy efficient and robust data extraction, transformation & load routines using SQL Server Integration Services
• Plan, develop and deploy new OLAP cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services
• Design, develop and maintain appropriate comprehensive technical documentation
• Plan, develop and maintain meaningful reports via SQL Server Reporting Services and other Business Intelligence solutions
• Provide support to both existing solutions and colleagues across the organisation on matters of best practice and SQL development
• Communicate highly complex and multi-stranded information, negotiating, advising and assuring directorate colleagues of the most appropriate solution available
• Assist other members of the team with their development and increase their technical awareness and ability to develop complex queries and reporting solutions
• Ensure all development work is carried out to high levels of quality
• Enhance productive working relationships with internal directorates and external organisations
• Initiate and plan the provision of complex programmes and specialist support and advice for effective data and statistics use to support all aspects of care, service planning, policy-making and accountability
• Ensure service delivery and continual improvement of a fit for purpose information service with a strong customer focus
• Initiate and plan complex detailed workload and activities to ensure appropriate resource allocation enabling delivery of systems implementation within project timescales
• Introduce and implement data validation and quality assurance systems and methodologies ensuring the integrity of all data or information produced by the service
• Support and promote effective information governance, designing and implementing organisation wide policies and procedures to ensure appropriate practice

Profile

• A minimum of 3 years SQL Server/Business Intelligence Development experience in a business (preferably Healthcare) environment
• Significant experience of providing comprehensive Business Intelligence solutions to support reform and service improvement
• Significant experience of managing the complete systems development life cycle
• Significant experience of relational database design as well as schema and query optimisation
• Strong T-SQL Development and Optimisation skills
• Detailed specialist project/resource planning skills
• Specialist and comprehensive knowledge and experience of the Microsoft BI Stack:
• SQL Server 2005/2008/2016(R2)
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Specialist knowledge and experience of developing and implementing business intelligence solutions
