Job Description

PCB Design Project EngineerOffering £45,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary plus Great BenefitsOur client is an established manufacturing facility based in Harrogate. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a PCB Design Project Engineer to join their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electronics developmentof all NPD projects, working closely with our client’s external design and manufacturing partners.PCB Design Project Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

  • ActastheinternalleadonelectronicsforNPDprojectsandworkwithinternal memberstodevelopkeydesigntargetsforelectronics.
  • ManageNPDprojectsthroughdevelopmentandworkcloselywithour client’sexternal partners - particularlyPCB design partners.
  • ReviewexistingPCBranges,suggestingcostoutandimprovements.
  • Find alternatesforcriticalcomponentsand componentsthatareatendoflife.
  • Work closely with suppliers, responding to enquiries, solving problems, managing workloads to achieve R&D goals. Review interim data and feedback and manage project delivery and priorities.
  • Developandmaintaindetailedelectronicspecifications-workingwithR&Dandexternal resource where necessary.
  • Ensurethatallnew PCBsmeet specification-hardwareandsoftware.
  • PreparePCBsfortest,producingdetailedtestreportsandmakingminoradjustments asrequired.
  • Keepabreastoftheelectronicmarket,costs,potentialproblems,trends, etc.
  • Ensureallelectronicsmeettherelevantregulatoryrequirements.
  • Work withcustomers/colleaguestoidentifyproblems andadvise on thesolution whilst managing expectations of stakeholders.
PCB Design Project Engineer - Skills & Experience
  • An experienced Electronics Engineer with strong project exposure is essential.
  • Understanding of PCB design, confident fault finding and problem solving designs.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Experienced working to a high standard, delivering tasks with a focus on quality and quantity.
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change and development.
The PCB Design Project Engineer position is offering £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary plus great benefits for the successful candidate!
