Job Description

Payroll Manager6 Month Fixed Term ContractHybrid working available£40,000-£45,000 plus excellent holidays and benefitsWe are currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Manager for our local healthcare provider. This position can offer hybrid working once fully trained, offers a competitive salary, holidays and benefits.The purpose of this Payroll Manager position is to lead the Payroll and Pension department in all matters.You will oversee the management of payroll, pensions and expenses for a number of subsidiaries. Other responsibilities include creditor payments, financial accounts, income collection and financial management, in addition to the supplies function, for theorganisation. You will also provide advice on payroll policy matters to the Finance Director and HR Director.Responsibilities

  • Lead the efficient running of the Payroll Department on a day to day basis
  • Prioritising and organising the range of work that comes into the Payroll and Pension department
  • Effectively manage a team of seven employees
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Director of Finance in accordance with current legislation, rules and regulations
  • Prioritising and managing tight deadlines
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as Payroll Manger essential
  • Have a proven track record of preparing and processing a complex payroll for over 2,000 employees
  • Be fully compliant and conversed in all legal and statutory payroll and pension matters
  • To be able to focus on complex information while dealing with regular interruptions
  • Have discretion when dealing with sensitive data
  • A good working knowledge of HMRC rules and regulations
  • Previous experience working for the NHS preferred due to the complex nature of this role
