Job Description

Pastry CDP - Horto RestaurantLocation: HarrogateSalary: £21000 per year depending on your skills and experience.Hours: 5 days over 7 working Wednesday to SundayCome and join our talented award winning kitchen team where seasonality, freshness and creativity are all part of the dining experience in our bright, contemporary fine dining 3 AA Rosette Horto Restaurant.Rudding Park Hotel & Spa is located in a stunning 300 acre setting in North Yorkshire. The hotel is proud to employ some of the best up and coming skilled, professional and dedicated people that the industry has to offer. We understand that every guest to us is unique and our talented kitchen team strives to create individual and unique dishes for our business and leisure travellers.We are seeking an ambitious, qualified Pastry Chef de Partie to assist in creating fine dining dishes using the best fresh & local produce.You will work with a strong motivated team of experienced and passionate Chefs in kitchens, which promote collaboration, and diligence.You must have pastry experience at a high level. NVQ 1, 2 and 3 are desirables but not essential. You will need to be creative, ambitious and have a passion to work with fresh food.We are also looking for;

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a broad range of food knowledge.
  • You should have worked in a busy kitchen and thrive under pressure.
  • Someone responsible for producing all deserts, cakes, puddings, pastries to a high standard for afternoon teas, celebrations and the dessert menu.
  • You will be an excellent team player and who can respectfully communicate to the team.
  • You should possess a lot of stamina/energy to keep up to speed during occasional hectic spells of business.
  • To work collaboratively with head chef for the smooth running of the overall kitchen function.
  • To have a desire and passion for producing outstanding cakes and desserts.
  • Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the pastry kitchen.
