Job Description

New Business Client Advisor (Harrogate)The company: Marsh CommercialWe are Marsh Commercial, a diverse community of colleagues, serving a diverse community of clients with insurance, risk management and employee health and benefits advice and solutions.The role: New Business Client AdvisorWe have a great opportunity to join our team in Harrogate as a New Business Client Advisor.The New Business Client Advisor will be responsible for following up on leads, ensuring client needs are identified and the subsequent conversion of these leads in to new business opportunities whilst ensuring it is all completed in line with agreed servicestandards.What can you expect

  • You will initially work remotely with a busy team dedicated to client satisfaction however this will eventually migrate back to the office on a flexible working schedule.
  • You will get in-depth on the job training and learn about insurance, insurance broking as well as building relationships within the business and outside with our partners.

We will rely on you to:
  • Manage own work loads and opportunities in order to optimise business performance.
  • Work on building relationships with key client decision makers in order to secure them as new clients to Marsh Commercial.
  • Work on all aspects of lead management and service delivery to prospects and clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Recognise and documents revenue generation, growth and other opportunities by actively developing additional business from opportunities into the business and other sources.
  • Maintain an awareness of all potentially complicated claim related matters and assists claims personnel in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Develops meaningful working relationships with insurers through regular contact and liaison to better serve clients.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments to better advise professional colleagues and clients.
What you need to have:
  • Proven telephony customer service experience/sales experience working in a similar industry role or general insurance experience is preferred however other target orientated sales experience will be considered.
  • A good awareness of clients business, their business issues, insurance programmes and service plans is ideal
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
  • High self-motivation with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds
  • A good academic background supported by good grades at A-Level and/or GCSE in subjects that include Maths and English
  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications
What makes you stand out:
  • Insurance Sales experience
  • Competent in the use of Acturis broking system is desirable
  • Experience within Insurance related sales
