Job Description

We are working in partnership with an independent school in Harrogate who are searching for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their team.Working with the Head of Marketing to develop Marketing Strategy and annual Marketing plans which you will be responsible for implementing, key duties will include day to day marketing and events in order to generate enquiries for prospective pupils. Asbrand ambassador for the school, you will build a consistent identity for the school, responsible for ensuring that the schools brand values are communicated across all marketing activity. Working in a fully office-based setting between 8-5.30, the successfulcandidate will be responsible for;

  • Managing relationships with key suppliers
  • Implementing marketing plans
  • Management of marketing budgets
  • Line Management of the Marketing team
  • Analysis & reporting
  • Managing external agencies
  • Working closely with key departments
  • Event management
  • Manage advertising plan
  • Effectively manage all internal communications
  • Oversee Digital & Marketing content team
  • Oversee the website & management
  • Utilise Google analytics
  • Manage internal CRM systems
The position is suited to a person who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. If you are an experienced Marketing Manager, exceptional at multi-tasking, highly organised then this could be the new role for you, the successful candidatemust hold:
  • CIM Marketing qualification or a degree level equivalent qualification in Marketing
  • Broad based background in marketing
  • Line management experience
  • Extensive experience of event marketing and end to end management of customer facing events
  • Experience of managing external marketing agencies
  • Experience of managing advertising campaigns
  • Experience of analysing and reporting on marketing ROI KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of digital marketing including social media, SEO management, Paid Search and Paid Social advertising, in order to oversee the effective implementation of the schools Digital Marketing plan
  • Knowledge of PR and media relations in order to oversee the effective implementation of the schools PR plan
  • Understanding of and empathy with, the independent schools sector;
  • PR crisis management PERSONAL SKILLS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisations skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and proof reading skills
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate information and present clear findings
  • Creative thinker who is results and targets focused
