Job Description

HSE Compliance OfficerHarrogateUp to £35kThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience of working within a HSE role within a busy manufacturing environment. the role will be top ensure all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment legislation, regulations and best practicestands are met and maintained across the business .You will work closely with Senior Management but be responsible for:

  • Managing on-site inductions, organising internal and external training, updating staff on operating safe systems and health and safety.
  • The coordination and completion of all site risk assessments including COSHH
  • Managing HS&E site accidents and incidents, including investigation support and root cause.
  • Ensuring ISO14001 and UKAS Quality accreditations
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring site HS&E policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring processes in the form of utility/waste/energy management, audits and inspections.
  • Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks and arranging training as required
  • Managing stakeholder relationships with the HSE, Environment Agency, Local Authority etc.
  • Complete environment agency annual returns
  • Lead employee consultation processes and drive H&S actions at site level
  • Lead sustainability projects
As the Health & Safety Compliance Officer you will:
  • Hold a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma general Certificate anyone holding the Diploma, Grad IOSH, Tech IOSH or IEMA Certificate would be of great interest
  • Have confident knowledge of the management and auditing of ISO14001, ISO45001 and UKAS accredited systems
  • Have worked within manufacturing
  • Have significant post qualification experience
  • Be a confident communicator
