Job Description

Health & Safety AdvisorOffering £25,000 - £30,000 Basic Salary plus Great BenefitsOur client is an established manufacturing facility based in the Harrogate area. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to join their business. The successful Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for monitoringHealth & Safety standards, processes, communication, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health & Safety, Welfare and Environmental aspects are adhered to.Health & Safety Advisor - Key Responsibilities

  • To ensurethatallHealth& SafetyandEnvironmentalpolicies,procedures, rulesandregulations are followed andare regularlyreviewed,updatedandcommunicated.
  • AssistingwithmaintainingISO14001andISO9001accreditations.
  • Ensurethecompanymeetsitsstatutoryobligationsinallareaspertainingtohealth,safetyand welfareandtheenvironment at work, including statutorytrainingandreporting.
  • Ensurethecompletionandregularreviewofriskassessmentsforallworkequipment and operations.
  • Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Ensurethatsafetyinspectionsarecarriedout,firealarmpracticesarecorrectlyreported,safety inspections,riskassessmentsandloneworking procedures are managedand employees are awareoftheir responsibilities.
  • Ensurefullandaccuratehealthandsafety andenvironmentaltrainingrecordsare maintained.
  • Overseethepremisescheck,including themanagementofFireWardens,FirstAidersandHealth & SafetyRepresentatives.
  • Keep upto date with all aspects of relevant health, safety, welfareandenvironmental work legislationsandcommunicate relevant changes tothe business.
  • Assistwiththereview andupdateofhealthandsafetypolicies.
  • CoordinatingthecompletionofclienthealthandsafetyPQQrequests.
Health & Safety Advisor - Skills & Experience
  • Agoodunderstandingofhealthandsafetybehaviourandguidanceatwork.
  • IOSH Managing Safety certification or equivalent.
  • Be an effective communicator with excellent people skills.
  • A team player who can work well on their own initiative and effectively manage their workload.
  • Be proactive and eager to learn. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake additional training and qualifications.
The Health & Safety Advisor position is offering £25,000 - £30,000 basic salary plus great benefits, including 25 days holiday plus statutory and fantastic personal development opportunities for the successful candidate!
