Job Description

Our client is a rapidly expanding, innovative and dynamic organisation based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Due to growth and demand they are looking to recruit an experienced Data Scientist to help to maintain and improve existing business intelligence, while contributing to the improvement of system and data architecture underpinning the organisations end to end processes.Responsibilities:

  • Building, maintaining and improving business intelligence from operational, HR and financial data.
  • Collating data from multiple systems and data sources, in order to provide meaningful analysis and insights.
  • Designing and producing KPIs, performing further data analysis to explain trends and anomalies.
  • Performing data-driven modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Seeking opportunities for automating manual processes across the business.
  • Improving data quality and data governance across the business, with an input to the broader data strategy.
  • Working with external system providers during future system implementation projects. This will involve discussing technical and business processes, along with considering system and data integration.
    • Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant data analyst or data scientist role.
  • Experience of working with programming and database languages, and business intelligence software.
  • Experience of working with data from multiple systems / sources and performing modelling to produce analysis and insights. This should be proven by demonstrable career achievements.
  • Experience of working in fast paced and dynamic environments.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority up to and including directors, across finance and operational departments.
    • Desirable Requirements:
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • A history of system implementation / integration projects
  • Web development experience
  • Experience of process automation
  • Previous experience with Anaplan
