Job Description

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a well-established company based in the Harrogate area, the business has experienced a strong period of growth and as a result are looking to grow by adding a Credit Control Manager to help support their existingfinance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Manager ready to take on a new, exciting role and join an innovative and growing business that offer great career progression and excellent employee benefits. As the Credit Control Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Credit Control & Query Resolution team ensuring that our critical cash collection function is undertaken effectively, taking full accountability of the recoveryof all outstanding balances. The role requires excellent customer service skills as you will act as the escalation point for key contracts, developing good working relationships to ensure that transactions run smoothly and any queries with customers accounts are swiftly resolved to ensureno delays to payment. Your main duties will initially include but are not limited to the following:- -Manage and develop the credit control & query resolution team ensuring that work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner, perform regular 1:1s and performance reviews ensuring these are documented and agreed. -Act as the point of contact for all escalated issues regarding cash collections, liaising internally & externally to point of resolution. -Providing regular reporting on Top 30 Debtors to Head of Transactional Finance. -Monthly debtors report, board slide & other ad hoc reporting as required. -Cashflow forecasting. -Escalation of accounts to solicitors & following legal process through to recovery. -Work together with Billing Team leader to ensure correct accounts are prioritised based on age of query, value of outstanding debt & customer relationship. -Deputise in the absence of the Head of Transactional Finance. The ideal candidate:- -History of operating in, or managing, a credit control function. -CICM qualified. -Strong management skills. -Excellent communication skills.
