Job Description

  • Preparation of accounts from a variety of clients systems - Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc
  • Audit of financial statements from planning to completion, including responsibility for managing the on-site audit team, where applicable
  • Preparation of draft corporation tax computations
  • Actioning queries raised by the accounts and tax managers on the draft accounts and tax computations
  • Finalisation of the accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
  • Providing training, guidance, and support to members of the team as required
  • Make suggestions for updating and improving the department and the firms systems and processes
  • Attending clients premises predominantly across Yorkshire depending on the location
Profile
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Experience of involvement in or leading on audits
  • Proven experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements
  • Recent general practice background, with exposure to accounts, audit, and/or tax
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent client service
  • Be flexible and proactive in managing multiple priorities
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by email
  • Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel
  • The ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail
  • Be able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problems
  • The ability to travel to clients premises as required
