Working in partnership with universities across the country, the POLS team provides marketing, student recruitment,course content development, training and ongoing student support to universities and students alike.About the JobWe are looking for a proactive, creative and self-motivated Graphic Designer to join the POLS (Pearson Online Learning Services) team. You will be responsible for working in close collaboration with the rest of the Content Team, answering creative briefssubmitted by other colleagues within the Marketing Team and POLS division more broadly.The role will cover briefs sent in for any of our 8 university partnerships and 30+ programmes, and will cover a range of creative needsfrom producing over-arching creative concepts for new programmes, producing animated videos to creating banner ads,designing course leaflets and website wireframes. This is a fast-paced and varied role within a growing division of Pearson and growing sub-team.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative

  • Answer creative briefs from multiple stakeholders within the POLS division
  • Produce innovative creative concepts for new programme launches or as part of existing programme creative refreshes
  • Create static and motion-based graphics for various digital channels, including all social platforms, web and email, plus occasionally print
  • Provide best practice solutions to varying design and creative problems faced by the digital marketing team
  • Edit or update existing artwork and assets across campaign and other communication pieces
  • Manage and maintain graphic files, including design work, image libraries and logos
  • Brief in work where necessary to external creative agencies and work in close collaboration with them on final output
  • Adhere to the brand guidelines for each of our partner universities
Organisational
  • Ability to manage multiple creative briefs at once
  • Liaise with all stakeholders involved in creative projects accordingly - including with Content Marketing Executives and Partnership Marketing Managers
  • Work closely with the Junior Graphic Designer to share workloads and provide advice, training and upskilling
  • Be comfortable and confident in deciphering creative briefs and collaborating on brief development with internal stakeholders
  • Be comfortable and confident in briefing external agencies if required, and providing feedback
  • Adhere to strict deadlines
About YouEssential:
  • An undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or other relevant qualification
  • A core understanding of over-archive design best practices, and best practice for numerous forms of digital assets across web and social
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS coding
  • Proficiency in video editing
  • Proficiency in animation and creating GIFs
  • Experience in web and email template design
  • An understanding of typographyspecifically digital typography
  • An understanding of basic design principles
  • An understanding of accessibility guidelines for digital work
  • Ability to produce varied and exciting creative concepts
  • Ability to present ideas to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have a design portfolio with examples of professional work to share
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload and juggle a multitude of projects
  • Able to produce high quality design in a fast-paced environment
  • An excellent attitude and desire to develop within a growing team
Preferable
  • Experience in producing creative for the higher education industry
  • An understanding of UI and UX, and related best practice across a range of assets and channels
  • Experience in shooting video desirable but not essential
  • Experience with WordPress
