Job Description

Pest Control Support Operatives Location: Harlesden, North West LondonSalary: £9.20 per hourContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours of Work: 40 hours pers week - 07.00 - 16.00 hours (some flexibility will be required)Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday (to be discussed further at interview)Hygiene Group carry out a variety of cleaning activities for a renowned food manufacturer producing a range of supermarket and branded biscuits in Harlesden, West London. Our scope of work across the site includes some end-of-run production deep cleaning, floors and drains, hand-wash stations, high-levels, silo blocks, perimeter areas, waste activities, and offices & facilities.We now have an exciting opportunity an individual with a keen eye for detail to become part of our experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives.Pest control Support Operatives - The Role:Carrying out a stand-alone role but forming a part of the overall hygiene team of around 25 personnel across the site, the role is to carry out pest control cleaning and monitoring activities working closely with both the Hygiene team and Pest Control Contractors.Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisory Management Team your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform a variety of pest-related cleaning tasks on identified "hot spots" as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures;
  • Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards;
  • Carry out routine checks of pest monitors and recording the findings accordingly;
  • Accompany the Pest Control Contractors on Pest Audits across the site;
  • Ensure that actions from inspections and audits are closed-out on the action tracker in a timely fashion;
  • Create reports to alert the Hygiene Supervisory Management Team and Client Manager to any issues that may impact upon the site pest score, e.g. leaks & emissions, plant defects, fabric defects, etc.
  • Participate in site training relating to pest control, health & safety, hygiene, and environmental issues.
    • Pest control Support Operatives - Candidate Requirements:Along with a high standard of work ethics and a positive attitude to safety protocols you will also require:
  • Pest control awareness & experience is an advantage but not essential as training can be arranged;
  • Good verbal & written communication skills;
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel;
  • The ability to work to time constraints, both on your own initiative and as a part of a team;
  • The ability to follow procedures thoroughly;
  • A positive and approachable manner;
  • An enthusiasm for a varied working environment.
