Job Description

Deep Clean Operatives Location: Harlesden, North West LondonSalary: £10 per hourContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours of Work: 40 hours pers weekShift Pattern: Day shifts (Days & times to be discussed at interview)Hygiene Group Ltd. has a great opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail to become part of an experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives in New Mills, Derbyshire.Hygiene Group carry out a variety of cleaning activities for a renowned food manufacturer producing a range of supermarket and branded biscuits in Harlesden, North West London. Our scope of work across the site includes some end-of-run production deep cleaning, floors and drains, hand-wash stations, high-levels, silo blocks, perimeter areas, waste activities, and offices & facilities.We now have an exciting opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail to become part of our experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives.Deep Clean Operative - The Role:Working in a small team of 4 Deep Clean Operatives you will form part of an overall hygiene team across the site of around 25 personnel. The role is to carry out deep cleaning of production lines across the factory.Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisory Management Team your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures;
  • Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards;
  • Be responsible for the inspection and cleaning of your work equipment, promptly recording and reporting any defects to the Hygiene Supervisory Management Team;
  • Be responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client’s environmental systems;
  • Be responsible for alerting the Hygiene Supervisory Management team to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the clean;
  • Participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.
    • Deep Clean Operative - Candidate Requirements:Along with a high standard of work ethics and a positive attitude to safety protocols you will also require a good head for heights as some work will take place at high level.
  • IPAF licence (3a for scissor lifts) is an advantage but not essential as full training can be provided;
  • Good verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to work to time constraints, both on your own initiative and as a part of a team;
  • The ability to follow procedures thoroughly;
  • A positive and approachable manner;
  • An enthusiasm for a varied working environment.
