Job Description

Hampton CollegeEagle Way, Hampton Vale, Peterborough, PE7 8BFHampton College is an established, successful, all-through school, which formed its own multi-academy trust (Hampton Academies Trust - HAT) in 2014. The Trust is also the education provider for the new neighbouring secondary school, Hampton GardensSchool and Hampton Lakes Primary School, which opened in September 2019. HAT schools have very close links and some shared staff.Hampton College currently serves the community of Hampton, on the southern outskirts of the city of Peterborough and has good links to Cambridge and Stamford. Hampton Gardens School serves the neighbouring Cambridgeshire village of Yaxley, as well new housingbeing added to the Hampton East development, where Hampton Lakes Primary School is located.Required January 2022SCIENCE TECHNICIANWe are looking for Science Technician to join a team of technicians to provide to support within a busy science department. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to teaching staff by preparing resources for the Science Lessons. The positionwill be busy and varied and will suit a well organised individual who is flexible and adaptable to a sometimes unusual workload.You will work closely with the Head of Science and Senior Science Technician to maintain an efficient and effective Science Prep Room ensuring equipment and resources are well prepared and organised at all times. You will be a methodical and meticulous individualwho is keen to play an active role in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the day to day running of the Science Department.Working Hours:37 hours per week, term time only8:00am to 4:00pm - Monday to Thursday (with a 30-minute un-paid lunch break)8:00am to 3:30pm - Friday (with a 30-minute un-paid lunch break)(Please note that there is flexibility in working hours, for the successful candidate)Salary:Science Technician (Grade 4)Full-time salary (52 weeks) From: £18,562 to £19,312Term-time salary (37hours per week/term time only) From: £15,419 to £16,042What we can offer you in return:
